Had a weird moment recently. I moved to a different country for work and kind of stopped paying attention to one of my side projects (built on Supabase).
Checked it the other day and realized it had 300+ users… and was actually making money.
I wasn’t tracking anything, so I had no idea it was growing.
Ended up throwing together a simple dashboard just to see signups, activity, and conversions so I’m not flying blind anymore.
- how many people are signing up
- who’s actually active
- if anyone is converting
It’s nothing fancy, just made it so I’m not flying blind anymore.
Now I’m wondering… is this just a “me problem” or have other people run into this too?
If you’re using Supabase, how are you keeping track of your users + revenue? Also if you'd like to try it out, feel free to DM me. I'm not selling anything but I'd love if other people would like to try it out.
The user discovered unexpected growth in their Supabase app, with over 300 users and revenue generation. They created a simple dashboard to track signups, activity, and conversions. The user seeks advice on how others track users and revenue in Supabase, inviting others to try their dashboard.
RevenueCat? It's free under 2500$ MTR
Disclaimer: Haven't used it but plan to test it for my app when i reach the free vs paid subscription part of the implementation. This and PostHog in theory should provide a good overlook about user behavior.
