I'm a first year CS student looking for my next side project, and I stumbled across this GitHub issue that was open:
Self-hosted Supabase doesn't support saving analytics queries #43738
The TL;DR: Supabase Cloud lets you save named queries in the Logs Explorer sidebar. Self-hosted does not. The team has confirmed it's not on the near-term roadmap.
I'm considering building a lightweight third-party tool that adds saved queries to self-hosted Logs Explorer. Probably a browser extension + simple web dashboard, maybe a one-time license or $5/mo subscription.
Before I write a single line of code, I want brutal honesty:
If the answer is "no, not worth paying for," that's genuinely useful. I'd rather know now than after building it.
Appreciate any thoughts.
A user is considering developing a tool to save Logs Explorer queries for self-hosted Supabase instances, as this feature is available in Supabase Cloud but not in self-hosted versions. They are seeking feedback on the demand for such a tool and whether users would be willing to pay for it.
I'm using self hosted supabase, but Claude manages it all. And he does it good. So no, I don't look for tools for that.
